The watersports centre is one of the best available with all brand new equipment – the see through base kayaks are brilliant for watching the tropical fish swimming about underneath.
Each room is stylishly decorated and has a very romantic atmosphere. The suites are definitely worth the extra if you can, mainly for the balcony that stretches half way round the building.
All the buildings are sympathetically built and designed to melt into the vibrant tropical gardens that are so well established around the hotel.
The hotel is well sized, spread over a wide area and never really seems crowded at all – even at full capacity.
Breezes is a very colourful resort and a feast for the eyes, beautifully decorated throughout.The tides restaurant designed for 2 people is definitely worth a mention as it has to be one of the most romantic restaurants that we’ve ever encountered!
Overall we feel that Breezes is an enchanting hotel located on a fantastic beach – a good choice.
This wonderful 5 star resort offers excellent value for money when compared with other similar hotels in Zanzibar. From the moment you arrive your senses are stimulated by flowing purple fabrics, traditional Zanzibari wooden carvings and warm hospitality.
All the rooms are of an excellent standard: cool and beautifully decorated with massive beds and lovely textural fabrics. There is also plenty to do for the more active and adventurous, with a very good water sports centre onsite offering everything from snorkelling and diving, to kite surfing and windsurfing, and even glass bottomed kayaks to drift over the lagoon admiring the fish and coral beneath you!
Meal times in the evening are also a very pleasant experience, often accompanied by a local Taarab band or saxophone player, and the food on offer varies every night.
There are also a variety of places to relax after your meal, again all beautifully decorated with fabrics and soft lighting. This makes Breezes an ideal choice both for families and for couples looking for romance and privacy.
